Arab athletes prepare for the Doha World Championships and the start of qualification for the Los Angeles Olympics.

Egypt International Olympic City in Cairo will host the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup from 8 to 16 October 2026, with competition running from 10 to 15 October.

The Arab contingent includes 21 athletes from Egypt, 11 from Oman, six each from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and two women from Yemen. The programme features air rifle and air pistol, three-position rifle, sport pistol and rapid-fire pistol, as well as mixed-team events.

Cairo offers athletes a chance to test their readiness ahead of the World Championships in Doha, from 1 to 14 November, where the first shooting quota places for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics will be awarded. No Olympic quota places will be awarded in Cairo.

The city will also host the 300m Rifle World Championship from 15 to 20 October.
