زار رئيس مركز الشرق الأوسط للصيد المستدام MESHC ادونيس الخطيب ورئيسة وحدة مكافحة الصيد الجائر في المركز الانسة شيرين بو رفّول، الخميس 7 آذار، قائد منطقة جبل لبنان في قوى الأمن الداخلي الكولونيل جهاد الأسمر للتأكيد على التنسيق الدائم في المحافظة على الطبيعة وعلى هواية الصيد بشكل مستدام ومسؤول.. انسجاما مع الدعوة التي كان قد اطلقها فخامة رئيس الجمهورية العماد ميشال عون لإقامة معاهدة سلام بين الانسان والطير والشجر، والتي تلقفتها الجمعيات البيئية العالمية واشادت بها لما تشكل من انطلاقة فعلية للتوعية على حماية الطيور المهاجرة، حيث يعتبر لبنان ثاني أهم ممر للهجرة في العالم .
وقد أكد الكولونيل الأسمر على دعم ومواكبة عمل الوحدة، وأشار الى استعداده شخصيا لمتابعة اي مخالفة في هذا الموضوع، ولفت الى انه سيتم التشدد في منع الصيد خارج الموسم.
من جهته شكر الخطيب جهود الأسمر واشار الى الاهتمام الكبيرالذي توليه المساعدة الخاصة لفخامة الرئيس السيدة كلودين عون، ومدّعي عام جبل لبنان القاضي غادة عون لملف حماية الطبيعة من الصيد الجائر وقمع المخالفات، ولفت الى التنسيق الدائم الذي يتم مع المدير العام لشعبة العلاقات العامة في قوى الأمن الداخلي العقيد جوزيف مسلم خصوصا في متابعة عمل المركز والوحدة وجمعية حماية الطبيعة في لبنان SPNL مع منظمة CABS الدولية لمكافحة الصيد الجائر.
كما أكدت رئيسة الوحدة على استمرار العمل لحماية هواية الصيد من الضرر الذي لحق بها جراء الجهل وعلى ضرورة ان يتحول كل صياد الى حامي للهواية من خلال متابعة اي مخالفة وتبليغ القوى الأمنية بها..
The anti-poaching unit at MESHC visits Colonel Asmar
The head of the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Centre (MESHC), Adonis Khatib, and the head of the Anti-Poaching Unit, Ms. Shirine Bou Raffoul, on Thursday (March 7th) visited the Mount Lebanon Commander of the Internal Security Forces, Col. Jihad Al Asmar, to ensure constant coordination in nature conservation and sustainable hunting. In accordance with the invitation issued by His Excellency the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, for the establishment of a peace treaty between humans, birds and trees, which was accepted by the international environmental organizations and praised for the effective launch of awareness on the protection of migratory birds. The Colonel al-Asmar confirmed the support and keep up with the work of the unit, and pointed out his willingness to personally follow any violation in this subject, and pointed out that will be strict in preventing off-season hunting.
For his part, al-Khatib thanked al-Asmar’s efforts and noted the great attention he paid to the special assistance of President Claudine Aoun and the Attorney General of Mount Lebanon Ghada Aoun to the file of nature protection against overhunting and poaching and suppression of irregularities. He pointed out the permanent coordination with the Director General of the Public Relations Division Internal Security Colonel Joseph Musallem, especially in the follow-up to the work of the Center and the Unit and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon SPNL with CABS International to combat overhunting and poachers.
The head of the unit stressed the continuation of the work to protect the hunting hobby from the damage caused by ignorance and the need for every hunter to become a protector of the hobby through follow up any violation and the notification of the security forces.
